For more than a decade Mike’s Electric has proudly sponsored a Murrayhill Little League team. The MHLL excels in giving young athletes the guidance to nurture the skills needed to grow as both players and people while enjoying America’s oldest pastime.

The Neil Armstrong Middle School Junior Cheer Team provides a comprehensive experience that goes beyond cheerleading, fostering personal growth, leadership, community spirit, and athletic excellence.

For 10+ years Pittman & Brooks has invited Mike’s Electric to help collect toys, games and other fun items for the Children’s Cancer Association Chemo Pal Closet. We are so happy to play our small role in helping these kids have a wonderful Christmas.

TALES OF DEDICATION & IMPACT

Since 1959 Mike’s has been working hard to build and maintain a high quality, skilled, trustworthy company. Our team goes above and beyond to provide award winning service to thousands of customers across the Portland Metro Area. Below you will find just a small sample of the many projects we have worked on for our amazing customers.

Restoration Hardware Chandelier

Crafted of solid brass and crystal glass, designer Jonathan Browning’s sculptural fixture is a testament to his passion for luxe materials and superior craftsmanship. Evoking the minimalist spirit of the 1960s design, each finely faceted sphere is ground and polished by hand to reflect and refract the light. It took four Mike’s electricians the course of a day to properly support, rewire, and install this massive chandelier. Weighing in at 265 lbs, this astonishingly beautiful solid brass fixture by Beaverton’s Restoration Hardware is forty inches in diameter and dangles thirty gorgeous crystal glass globes more than 12 feet.

Portland Union Station

We were honored to receive a call regarding work at one of Oregon’s most iconic locations, Union Station in Portland. Brad and Sam replaced all of the ceiling fans inside as well as installing new lights around the outside of the building.

Antique Light Replacement

A customer requested we replace two large (50 lb.) exterior light fixtures roughly 15’ above the ground. The challenge was size, weight and age of the lights, and working on a surface that was not level. The antique fixtures were more than 60 years old and were very difficult to remove. Some corrections to original wiring were needed before the new lights were installed. Excellent work by Aaron and Sam!

Bed Sconce Lighting

Want to stay up late reading in bed, while your partner gets a good night’s sleep? We can install sconce lights, each with its own dimmer, like Brian and Sam did for a customer in Lake Oswego.

Floor Box Installation

Want to get rid of messy wiring running across your hardwood floors or carpeting? Floor box receptacles come in a variety of styles and finishes. Brian and Sam recently installed four for a customer in Lake Oswego.

The Panel Change Experts

The electrical panel is both the heart and brain of your home’s electrical system. We replace dozens of electrical panels each year. Our team members take pride in leaving clean and tidy wiring when they do this.

Storm Damage in Beaverton

We were recently contacted after a fallen tree damaged the meter and riser (PGE connection) of a home in Beaverton. Within an hour of our customer’s phone call we had a crew of our expert electricians on site to remove all the damaged components. They returned the following day, completed the much needed repairs, and arranged to have service restored with PGE. All work was completed within 48 hours of the initial wind damage. We work very hard to take good care of all of our customers. In the event of an electrical emergency please do not hesitate to give us a call and let us know how we can help.

Church Air Conditioning Wire Fire

This one stars Brian F. and Josh. Pilgrim Lutheran Church called at about noon after having a small fire in their rooftop A/C unit. Our guys were there in just about an hour, replaced the A/C disconnect, and repaired the poor wiring that caused the problem. With the Portland area breaking temperature records this summer a working air conditioning system is more important than ever. We are happy to make sure that your wiring and power is safe, to code, and up to the task of keeping you cool through the heat.
